Hi we have 2 reds aswell and they are 8 inches long. We have one male and one female, and have noticed this behaviour in recent times. It seems that our female is the one doing the biting and our male does the fighting. Like you Nikki we fed our two as well and it seems to have stopped for now. I have no idea why this is happening and am glad you asked this question. Like you we are worried about this, dont want them hurting each other. Is it just a hunger thing or is it a dominance thing?
