I would suggest that a blood sample and repeat faecal sample, including examination of a fresh wet prep for protozoa, would be strongly advisable, you should ask your vet about this.
I wouldn't dose with metronidazole 'just in case'... check for parasites first, and treat if they are there.

John, thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately at this stage we have no chance to do do repeat faecal sample because she is not producing any poops at all. From the same reason we are unable to check for parasites because for that I would need her to poop.
