Hi Vikki, 100w combi is the same price to run as a 100w spot. So if you run a sot and say a 3ft tube of 40w, it's going to cost a bit more. As a rough estimate, a 100w bulb on for 10 hours a day will cost you 20p a day. A uv tube will provide light to the whole enclosure, T5 being brighter and emitting more UV than a T8 tube.
