This sending tortoises into space is pointless and morally wrong in my opinion!
When the original Horsfields went into space they came back with a 10% loss of body mass.
What does a tortoise make of being in space? I imagine a frightening experience.
This nonsense is still going on. In 2014 the Iranians put two turtles into space to see what effect this would have on their reproductive behaviour. Yes really.
