Ernst Mayr... which edition. His definition of a species is the one I pretty much follow. I think the Biological Species concept is the way to go with DNA as a supporting factor.

You haven't spoken with may taxonomists... there is us and them... the splitters and the clumpers. I don't know if it's still around but I know I mentioned it... Taxacom... they had a forum early on...

Used to be a subspecies of belliana... but you know how that goes.

Because of the upgrade they are now allowed to be imported into the states where as in the past as a subspecies it was not...
