Is it possible for an egg to 'de-chalk'?

Hi all, I have 2 fertile eggs at day 62 from Osca's second batch. Both seemed ok until yesterday when I noticed one was becoming less white at one end and appears to be losing chalking. Im guessing...

Of the 5 eggs that Osca laid, one hatched at day 74, one :grin:at day 77 and one has begun to pip today at day 94! Two were infertile. My temps are between 30 and 32 degrees. My book says incubation...

I can't believe that after 94 .....yes 94! days in the incubator another egg is beginning to hatch. I had almost given up on this little one. Is this a record?

Osca's eggs are due to hatch any day now. Very excited but also not sure what to do. Do the babies stay in the incubator or should they come out? What do they eat etc... This is the first fertile...

Thank- you for your replys. At last Mojo ate some well soaked pellet food today, so has had some food and water in one go. Panic over, phew.:D

Osca's trying to bury herself

Hi All, my horsefield tort, Osca is digging very deep holes and burying herself. Is it a little early for hibernation? Do you think I should try to prevent her from doing this or let her be?

We have Eggs

Just had to tell you all - Osca has laid 4 beautiful eggs. Now in the fabulous homemade incubator at a steady 30 degrees. So excited!!
