Wouldn't worry, especially if he can dig down. They only thing you could do to satisfy curiosity would be to swap the hides around or put a fern hide also at the cool end.

I have two baby redfoots available UKCB from our adult group. £100 each they are bout 6cm long SCL at the moment, heathly and eating well.

Good news on this little one! I'd start offering food when all the yolk sac has gone. Some strat eating within days so its best to give the little one the option.
