Summertime

I have been having an absolute nightmare with imgur at the moment. Every time I try and post a BB code for forums, the photos are coming out ridiculously huge, so I’ve given up on that idea and hope this will give you a direct link to the photos uploaded to imgur of my torts lapping up the good weather.
I loved seeing Clare’s this week and I’m always intending to post photos but life keeps getting in the way, so I can cross this off my to-do list now. :)
Hope everyone is keeping safe and well and enjoying watching torts and turtles enjoying the summer.

Oh my! What a nice place for tortoises to live! I especially love the first picture with the tortoise taking a big bite!

Lovely pictures Emma and fantastic weeds so good to be able to get all the torts outside with the weather better.

It's starting to look a little less green in there now, Lynn. They have certainly been having a feast each day.

Thanks Mary, I love having them out and watching them wander, eat, bask and sleep. :-)

Well, they pretty much destroyed anything edible fairly quickly. The hebes, rosemary, lavender and sedge remain though so always lots of woody places to dig underneath.

Thanks Suze. I always think of Phoebe when Esme has her birthday in June each year. Phoebe was only a few days younger wasn't she?
You must be sad to be moving on a couple of your margies but I expect they're getting big now.

Phoebe is looking like a proper little Herman now, but sadly I haven’t made a very good job of growing her, she is a little bumpy , just the scutes on the very top, but she is still a nice looking tortoise.

When I hatched poppy and lulu, it was never with intention of keeping them, I just haven’t got round to finding homes, but now hopefully I have found a lovely home, so I’m ok with it, so long as it’s the right home, and I’m very fussy !
