I'd say female. Is the plastron looking a bit pink or is it just the camera?

Female, I also thought the plastron looked pink.

I agree it's a female :D

The plastron is pink and this time it's perfectly fine

Dan, is the pink colouration to do with growth rate? the pink seems to be on all the areas that also have the swirly marks that we have seen before in previous posts.

Yes you will get a pink flush sometimes with a growing tortoise. Not sure it has much to do with rate though.

Thank you everyone :-) can we almost be 100% certain now that Squirtle is a female? I'm not sure about the pink, I had assumed it's where they had strawberry yesterday! Is it anything for me to worry about? :(

Maybe it just shows more on them because they are pale?

I think this is exactly right, Alley. Pale plastrons show pink. I notice it with my Margies a lot. Sid my adult male is a total stress head! When I take him to the vets we only have to walk in the door & he dissapears right back in his shell & the vet has commented that he flushes bright pink before her eyes. He also has cherry eye + about a day before I go on holiday each year he gets RNS!! For no apparent reason.
