Good names for tortoises?

Getting a Russian tortoise soon and wondering what is other peoples tortoises names? Need some ideas, I quite like the idea of human names. So far for girls I got Julie, Katrina (a little different for a tortoise but is such a lovely name!!) and Lucy. Boys, Terry, Toby, Tony and Henry. Although I might not even know if its male or female haha but yes. Whats your tortoises names?

My 2 are called Shelby and Liz and it turns out they are both boys! Doesn't really matter to us though that one has a female name, Shelby is a unisex name anyway.

I have quite a few and some of them are very similar to each other. To recognize them from each other I made a tiny dot on their back with various colours of nail varnish. Now I am calling them according to the colours...

Tortoises are usually full of character, so a name that suits it's own special personality.

names for mine always came to me after having had them a few days, they do resemble or have characters, all our animals have been named the same never before getting them.

I couldn't agree more!

Although Teabag had a name before I got her but I would have changed it if it didn't suit... but the lovely person who names her got it just right!

I will suggest the one I have mentioned to others (although to my knowledge no one has taken my advise as yet!!)

I have a dozen tortoises and my kids have provided most of the names.

"LEM Prince of Darkness" is maybe the weirdest. He is known as LEM which originally stood for something but we have all forgotten what.

We also have "Totty" and "Wortel" (which is Dutch for carrot).
