Both of them are buried now

All of my lot have disappeared even the box turtles which surprised me as they seem to love the rain which we are having plenty of at the moment.
Then on the other hand my Burmese browns are out playing in the rain. |
all a bit slow but still out sunbathing - had to dig up one of the girlie horsfields as she had gone right down under a wet pot - couldnt find her for two days - she hissed and griped , is covered in mud - goodness very ungrateful. it was so hot the next day she dried out and looked like an garden statue. still hissing and throwing a hissy fit - they are so grumpy this time of year - do you think they want to stay up and watch Christmas. Many years ago I had one who spent her days on a blanket in front of the fireplace all winter in the warm -still with us ! - how things have changed ! CB

Interestingly, tort 1 went down on 10th September last year and 14th Sept this year although did resurface this year for two days as well after 17 days.
Tort 2 went down 3rd October last year and 3rd October this year and I'm sure it was very similar dates in previous years. |

I have put some of mine down today a week or so early but they were more than ready to go.
|
One of mine went down on 4th October and the other on 6th October (2021)

Mine have stopped feeding but only just and some of them are still quite active so it will be several weeks yet before I box them up. It's very mild here today.

Yes it was mild here today and my Hermanns came out for a wander but didn't eat anything. I am aiming for the end of the month still as that seems to be their preferred time but I have to physically put them in their boxes as they can't dig in naturally anywhere.
