Roxys 2nd clutch
Please let me have your thoughts, it is day 16......
I couldn't shine the mobile torch directly on top of the eggs as it was distorting the pictures with just a bright white flash! Have to get myself a proper mag lite torch... Not too promising, you should be able to see an embryo at this point.
Check Danny's post for reference, it's pinned to the top of the forum. |

Bev, I really don't know. Ideally Dan, Gordon or Alley will come on and give you more indication. I'm perplexed by the blob in egg 3 and whether it could be an embryo if it's growing. I keep looking at egg 4 and wondering if there's the ring of life at the top or just an air bubble.
Still really hoping that you'll get some positive news. I'm going to try and look back at some of the candled egg photos I took because I could never interpret a lot from them, but they could be similar. x |
Thanks Emma, these do look different to her first clutch, still not hopeful though, the dark rings are all getting bigger. Egg no.3 is really weird, the dark area on the front is actually pink with a black dot inside it to one side.
Would be good to see you pics Emma. My sister gave me a slimmer torch, not sure it is bright enough but will give it a go tonight :) x |
I just found this thread from two years ago of Horsfield eggs development. The photos are really clear. http://www.shelledwarriors.co.uk/for...rsfield+embryo
Even though the circle of life was seen early in these photos, I waited quite a few days longer to see anything in Esme's egg. Do the eggs look as if they've starting chalking? At least that's a change you can see without candling. x |
Not looking good Bev :(
