A while ago, I managed to get a pack of 20 from Morrisons for ~£3.. they were a bit small but have all grown into flower since :D

When they die down, is it worth cutting them back and keeping themor should i just throw them?

Was in Tescos today, they have Petunias, bizzy lizzy and lobelias but no Pansies. And yes, rosshan I think violets can grow back.

Out Teso didn't have these,paid £3 for 5 pansies locally!

I'm always nervous about getting plants incase they've been sprayed. Are they ok to feed from straight away??

It's always best to weather them for a few weeks first. When I bought my Pansies i removed the flowers straight away so I knew that the new blooms were relatively safe

B&Q got quite a lot of good offers on just now. Lots of boxes of 12 petunias, pansies, hollyhock etc for £3 and also really nice big hostas for £3 - 4. Much better value tham most of my garden centres! Lavateras readily available now too; mine both died off with all the snow! :D
