65yr old inherited tort, ID please
Meet Toby, we are the 3rd generation to look after him and he arrived on Sunday. He has had the typical terrible upbringing but I am changing him over at the moment, no more bread and milk for this guy  Despite never having seen a lamp before he headed straight for it and it is now his favourite place. We were told he was a Hermanns but I don't think he is, he certainly looks nothing like my 2 youngsters.
Please could you take a look at him and give me your thoughts please? http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...e/Torts006.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...e/Torts007.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...e/Torts008.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...e/Torts012.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...e/Torts009.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...e/Torts010.jpg He has two very small spurs on his upper thighs, hopefully you may be able to see them. Thank you in advance :-) |

I did wonder that too Terry, but always get it wrong:)

That was a quick flat carapace measurement, i'll double check again tomorrow but it won't be much different. His diet has been atrocious up until now so he may very well be underweight. He's off to see Mark the vet in Maidstone next Wednesday for a check over so maybe he'll be able to say for sure what he is. If he is a whitei is the husbandry the same as for a TGG (I know nothing about whitei... yet)?
