What was your FIRST paying job?

Since we are on the topic of jobs, I thought it would be cool to know what your very first, legit paying job was at a young age? When I was 15 1/2, I worked at a local Pizza Hut (Carryout only). I was the guy taking orders over the phone, folding boxes, and making pizzas (even for those lovely anchovies lover people... yuck!) I had the chance to continue playing high school football, but I needed the money more. I just saw $_$ at that point...not realizing that it wasn't really a high paying job :P You? |
My first job when I left school was working in a pet shop on a YTS (Youth Training Scheme for you youngsters!) I absolutely loved it, they took me on full time when the scheme ended after a year, but I had to leave when they relocated the shop to another town.

I was still at school when I started a Saturday Job - working in a transport cafe - cooking fried breakfasts for truckers!

I was a playbus worker. It was a youth opportunity scheme and really was an old style double decker bus with the back opening. It was convrted into a mobile play school and we travelled to under privileged areas where parents and children came and chatted and played. It was only 3 days a week but I loved it.

Besides my paper round when i was 13 my first paid job was for WHSmith at 15 1/2. I loved it.

apprentice joiner was first after leaving school but younger than that it was the potato picking and fruit picking
