Pickle, her shell isn't quite right yet but it's looking much better, a few more months and I think it will look good again.

I hatched her last summer, and she went to a new owner beginning of September, and when she came back to me for half term, end of October, her her shell was very badly ridged between the scutes and sinking in the middle of each scute, I think she had been badly dehydrated, so I have kept her and am trying to get her back on track. It's just starting to look right again, sideways on you can see it more, but I think with a few more months good care she will be fine.

Lovely bathtime photos Suze (and not a jobbie in sight!).

That sounds awful about Pickle.

Maybe her new owner wasn't on the ball enough about hydration. It's so important especially with hatchlings and babies.

Haha no your right, since they woke up about two weeks ago, it's taken ages to see any " jobbies " but I'm finding a few good ones now, in fact I found a nice big one today, and I am guilty of giving it a good inspection, breaking it open to check for firmness and plenty of fibre ! Does anyone else do this, or is it just me ?

They're all looking good and it's so nice to little Pickle too. I'm sure she'll recover well with you, especially if you're starting to see a difference in her shell already.

She's certainly a little fighter, and starting to look nice again now. I couldn't let one of my babies end up a disaster !
