So are mine Mary, their soil is moving but not that much, and far to cold for them to get up yet:0)

It's quite mild here, when I opened their boxes, they were all looking up at me, saying get me out of here. All active today, have had a warm bath and eaten a bit, all looking in nice condition. It's always lovely to have them up again.

I think thats the difference between boxing and letting them dig down in the soil. It takes longer for the soil to warm up (even in a greenhouse) so they stay down longer. For me this is better as its still too cold here in Kent:0)

ooh how wonderful.

Mine hibernate naturally but they weren't stirring (first time ever I can remember). Ive taken down the covers in the greenhouse and it's gradually topped about 35 in there so they will be awake now ! CB

I'm sure you're right, and one day I hope to have a bigger garden with a green house, and I will most certainly hibernate them in a greenhouse and let them dig down into the soil. It's a plan for the future , it's all planned in my head.
But next winter they are going to have a bespoke shed, in a shady place, so I'm hoping it might stay a bit cooler for longer.
