Where do you buy your spot bulbs?
The last one I bought was an exo terra 100w spot bulb, which was great until this morning when it blew.
The thing is, they're about £5 and I know 'normal' spot bulbs aren't anywhere near as expensive, but they don't go as high as 100w in the shops I've been looking in.. I know they're being phased out in favour of the eco-friendly bulbs, but they must still be selling the ones already manufactured. So does anyone know where I can get them cheaply? The best I could do was a 40w from the cupboard as a temp, but she doesn't look very happy with it at the moment.. Thanks  |
shelled warriors shop sell bulbs theyre great for getting it out in the post quickly

B & Q sell 100 watt screw in bulbs, ES27, the large screw in ones. £1.99 for a pack of two, yellow box
I found they were too hot, so also bought next one down, 60 watts. |
I got my 100w spot bulbs at Tesco.

Hi,
I use the 60w spot bulbs from ASDA,They are quite powerful,i did a test with one (without dimmer) and the temps went well over 40oc they cost just under £5 for a pack of 4 i've been using the one in Ishi's cage now for over 6 months and it's still working fine! |
I buy mine from a company called DBA or DEA electrics, can't remember which from Ebay, 10 bulbs for £13 or so, and had no probs with them!
