Ive been useing it for about 2 yrs now,And i have never come a cross any problems with its use.Tortoise can grow a resistance to batril and other antibiotic when used a lot,And over reliance on these drugs is not good for the wealth fare of the animal in question.I would rather go down the F10 avenue first,Much kinder i think

No updates on this for a while now.

Are there any further developments on this? I ask as i think one of my new torts may be getting RNS and want to treat her before it gets passed on to the other.

Thanks

I used the nebulizer for my newly acquired Star which was down with RNS, it took 5 days to clear her RNS and she's dloing good now. Her dose consist of baytrill and saline.

Torts of ours that get RNS I treat by getting the temps right up around 33 degrees and giving daily baths. I also 'blow' their nose for them by squeezing the muck by pressing under the chin whilst holding the head (sorry sounds and is yuk!). I find this does take time but works and is the least invasive method. Obviously if it goes to the chest I use baytril. I have tried the E10 but found it not too sucessful for me which was a pity.
I would not put another tort who has ever had RNS in with one that has as unfortunately they will always be a carrier and will pass the virus on.
