Default One more day !

Hello all my shelled warrior friends,as the title says one day left of this year. It didn't start out too well, but it got so much better, and I survived. And it's my last year of my 40s, one more day and I will be saying " I'm 50 this year " I hope you had a good year, and if it wasn't too good , I hope it got better, and I wish you all the very best for next year. I hope we don't go off line again, coz I missed you all. Party time tomorrow, hope you all have a lovely new year. Xxxxx

Happy New Year to you too Suze and I wish a very happy, healthy and prosperous one to you and everyone else.
2014 was an amazing year for us, especially due to tracing my husband's birth mother and we have a whole new, very special family in our lives. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine they'd welcome us so warmly and we'd all become so close. It's been fabulous and I am thrilled to have a wonderful mother-in-law, who is a fabulous Grannie to the kids.

Wishing everyone a wonderful 2015!

I too will be saying I'm 50 this year after today Suze. I will also be saying I am a Nanna this year so mixed reviews for me to come. The receding year was mostly taken up by my dads mental health and neighbour disputes, interspersed with mice. Yes we still have mice after spending last new year catching and releasing them they still feature prominently in our lives with them popping up now and again, due to the said neighbours lack of action against them. So bring on the new year and lets hope we all have a happy and healthy one. Good luck and best wishes to you all.

I don't feel too bad about it really. I felt worse when I turned 30. Spent weeks thinking how I was no longer in my 20s, got quite depressed about it. I am in a good place in my life now, financially stable, mortgage nearly paid, family growing up nicely. I feel life is now settled and comfortable rather than frantic and swimming against the tide. Bring it on I say, it's just a number after all.

I couldn't agree more. Age is just a number and seeing as none of us know how much time we have here, people shouldn't get hung up on a number but live for each day, each moment and cherish it.
I don't worry about getting older. I don't worry about getting greyer. I don't worry about lines or wrinkles. It's all part of us going through life and I actually wouldn't want to be 'young' again. I think youngsters have so much more pressures nowadays.
From the photos I've seen of everyone on here, you all look younger anyway. It must be the secret elixir of keeping torts - keeping us all young in heart, mind and body!
