agree Alan, not the best ad for tortoise keeping but then it was probably wrote when most people didnt have much idea about tortoises.

maybe the production team should of had sections re wrote,

didnt rate it personally but my wife like it

I have to say my heart was in my mouth at the scenes of all the torts all over the kitchen work surfaces and when the tort got dropped over the balcony. I know it's all cleverly done with CGI and stuff nowadays but even so....the kids were laughing at my reactions!
As you say though, it was just a film. The torts they used all looked lovely and I'm glad he didn't get as far as swapping Alfie for one of the redfoots or sulcatas in his flat!

We both thought it very watchable but I just hope it doesn't encourage people to buy a tort from a shop without thinking about it or researching, but I did enjoy it though.

I didn't like it, I cringed the whole way through. I worry that it will give people the wrong impression and too many people will want one and go and get one from a pet shop , on a whim, and we will have similar situation as we did after the ninja turtle films. Many Terrapins were dump after the rush, following that film.
