leopard that doesnt seems to eat grass!
hi everyone, just a quick moment of pondering....
my tortoise bernie (leopard tortoise) just seems to want to eat dandelion leaves. when he is wondering about the garden he wont graze on grass at all, is this because its not timothy grass? that sounds to me like a pretty dumb question to ask, but as he supposed to eat a high mixture of grasses but doesnt, im worried that it can do him harm. i have planted two trays of timothy grass, a tray of mixed fibre grass and lots of tubs of weed mix (all from this website) in a hope to vary his diet. (just waiting for them all to grow bigger!!) will these make a difference? or have i just got a fussy tortoise (do they even exist or am i worrying too much!!) |

Just like children they will go for their favourite sweetie! But he could be eating the grass as he is out grazing. You are just not looking at the right time. I was in a panic last year when I thought our little sulcata rehomer wasn't eating outside, so I set the camera on a long zoom.....and waited! finally caught her eating grass when she thought no-one was looking!
