Nutrabal and outside
Hi i think this has been covered but is a bit topical at the moment, if young torts are outside 24/7 and eating fresh weeds and plants. How do they get there dose of nutrabal, or dont they need it in the good weather
One of mine is eating far to much over the last two days, outside.how do i stop this if the good weather continues. Paul |

Hi, I would suggest that you still use Nutrobal and Limestone Powder, alternate days on weeds as this really does help give them all the nutrients that they need. You could also try making a limestone block or using cuttlefish.
If they are eating too much then I would suggest removing edible plants or there favorite one's from there outside enclosure and just giving them enough weeds each day that would cover there shell like a blanket, leave them for about an hour and then take them out. Hope this helps.

I do the same as Dazza... yesterday after they had all been in the sun all day long, they got a nice refreshing piece of cucumber with nutrabol spinkled on it.
The cucumber slice has no nutritional value - just makes sure they take on a little extra water to avoid dehydration. |

Any plant that I have put into my torts enclosure i have dusted it with limestone flour but if they were out 24/7 I would still sprinkly nutrabol and limestone flour on the plants.
