Default Nutrazu ingredients

After looking at the ingredients in nutrazu I decided to google them, and almost all the ingredients are found in Guinea pig, rabbit, rat and pig pellet feed.

Does that mean they're safe to feed tortoises?

Just a question before anyone starts complaining

Haha.

I thought to myself, if the ingredients are so similar does that mean the other pellet food is safe to feed.

Yes it may be, I don't feed pellets very often, only once every few weeks through winter, I thought I'd try nutrazu because Sarah had it in stock x

You get cat food and dog food with similar ingredients.

You shouldn't feed British foods to Persian cats, Alsations or Dachsunds though

I feed small amounts of Mazuri to my parrots, bearded dragon and guinea pigs. They are all similar, have a look at Kaytee http://www.kaytee.com/products/exact...rrotconure.php have a look at the ingredients. I often feed this to my torts and they love it.

If you give it a little thought... the digestive tract of a tortoise has been equated to that of rabbits and the like so it would make sense that they would take in similar foods.

It is not the exact type of food that shoud be of concern but the nutritional content and value of the feed.
