3 Hermans Eggs
My oldest femal has just laid 3 perfect identicle eggs yesterday, she laid 5 a while back but only 2 hatched successfully but that time the eggs varied in size shape.
but this clutch are perfectly identicle so they are now in the incubator and fingers crossed we'll have some more babies early October. |

Cheersw
if there not it wont be for the want of trying on the males part, poor lads at it all the time, it's funny though ive 2 females he mates both about the same amount 1 femal has laid 3 clutches in 18 months the other shows no sign of producing yet she seems to accept the males attentions a lot more redily than the female whos produced eggs/young?. both females are same age/size ect?. |

I have found the same thing with my hermann group. The ones that you expect to lay don't and then you get a surprise when one lays and you havn't noticed the male paying any attention to it!Who knows the ways of tortoises but the surprises are part of the fun.My little 8 year old is about to produce her first hatchling in 10 days or so-other 3 are infertile but she's just practising I guess!

Just got back from Holiday in Cornwall and ive candled the eggs,
2 are developing nicely but the 3rd looks infertile as there no sign of any development but im more than happy with 2 from 3 being fertile. |
