The one in front looks like and Ibera ( Turkish spur thigh , Testudo Graeca Ibera) the one behind looks very like a North African Algerian spur thigh ( Testudo Graeca Graeca ) the scute at the front is a give away, notice on the Algerian tort the scute is quite rounded, and on the Ibera the front scute is very square . Very different pattern on shell too.

What gorgeous tortoises ! Definitely you need to post more photographs when able ! thank-you for taking time out to post them,
There is nothing wrong with it Jan in moderation and some torts do better than others (same as humans), but (fruit) can cause the runs. Interestingly I do a breakfast chop up of gooseberry leafs, cucumber, tomato and iceberg and sometimes vine leaves and my spurs love it and they are all ok, but I wouldn't feed tomatoes to the Horsfields, same as yours as they didn't fair well at all some many years ago. But that could be just my lot. Lettie Spur loves a whole tomato and she chases it round til she pierces it.

The scute has finally come off. I'm going to treat with betadine - do I do anything else?

Hello, I have 2 female hermanns called 'the Trudes'. Just wondering if they can have cucumber and tomato? When I got them last year someone told me not to give them lettuce either! Any advice to a newbie much appreciated. J x

I would use diluted betadine or the like, to bath the area, as it looks like a couple of others may well come loose. This is to stop bacteria setting in and causing shell rot:0)
