Default keeping 2 breeds what do i do

if i got a red foot which my parents are STRONGLY considering and i have 2 hermanns all i do is keep everything seperate isnt it ? and make sure i dont handle both etc etc

but the main thing i want to know is we like to let our hermanns have a run round theconservatory they appear to have fun with all of the indoorplants etc and they climb up the newspapers that have been put on the floor LOL
so if i got these in the conservatory say till 12 and then put them away and got a redfoot out it would be ok wouldnt it !?

It’s not generally recommended that you allow the two species to run on the same ground - your hermans could have pathogens that the redfoot picks up, also the environmental conditions are different for both species - you have both temperate and tropical tortoises and their needs are vastly different I would suggest maintaining the separate or rehomeing one species!!

As the hermanns still have totally unsuitable accomodation I am wondering why you wuoldl be looking at taking on another species. It seems a recipe for disaster to me. Why not look into providing correct accomodation for the ones you have first. Walking found the floor of a house is totally unsuitable for any tortoise and will eventually lead to trouble of some sort. newspaper too is poor substrate for them
