Default Turtle Survival Alliance

Following another siezure of Asian Turtles illegally trafficked in South East Asia, Turtle Survival Alliance (Europe) along with its Sister organisation in the USA, has organised a rehoming excercise on an International basis. In Europe, members of the European Studbook Foundation have been tasked with rehabilitation and estabilshing captive breeding "Assurance colonies".

How sad ... what a seizure, so many Great news that many survived being soup. Are you giving any homes Paul Do you think they will be able to re-home them?

I am pleased to say that following the call last week, I was able to get over to Rotterdam and brought a group of Malayan Box Turtles back to the UK, and they are all safely rehomed in Approved collections, such as Bristol Zoo.

I think the Cyclemys spp were more likely to have been Cyclemys oldhami, from the ones I saw.

Yes indeed,
these are very rarely seen in captive collections and this male has, I am pleased to say gone to a guy in Southern Germany who has successfully bred them.
