I really hope between the two of you, you'll get some fertile eggs hatching. Would love to see photos of hatchling browns.

Poor Mowgli he does his best so maybe this year. Have to wait until the end of the summer and then it is a risky business removing the eggs from the great mound the female has created without getting severely injured as Gordon will testify to and show you his scar!

Lovely photos.

I was interested in the vegetables they were eating. Are they suitable for Horsfields?

No its not your normal tortoise food but browns eat a lot of mushrooms and these seem to like tomato the rest is romain letuice and the odd corgette but their weekness is a mushroom or two.

I have just had a weigh in and the biggest one is 18.5kg

Very good I haven't weighed mine for a bit but last time they were all in the range of 20kg so as I said mine are bigger!!!!
