3 Amigos again
Here I am getting my fingers nipped by these vicious tortoises while I'm trying to keep them on the slate to get their photo taken...
Mum Totty produced this trio of amigos in the summer and they have given me such joy. They now weigh in at 21 to 25 grammes. They are mainly vegetarians but they don't refuse the occasional bit of carrion!

Little stunners!
Never been nipped by a tort and hope not to but I have been informed it's painful. Best be careful with three of the prehistoric monsters after your flesh...they might get a taste for it!!

They are real little beauties Jonathan .
Naughty Ptolome does sneak up and bite my feet, given half a chance, and it really hurts.

they are beautiful Jonathan - they used the tortoise mating cry in Jurassic park for the raptors when they pounced - keep fingers well away, CB

Lovely to have the update. They are looking good. I remember their name, still makes me smile.
I've been nipped, but my own fault due to having a dandelion in my fingers. PS A dandelion flower today in the garden and in a very exposed area. So strange, we still have ice on the bird bath in spite of some sun. Perhaps the long grass protected it.

JAn it's freezing in the county today !! I have never known such hard frozen ground in the garden without actual snow. I can not even get the leafs off the ground as they are frozen solid all day despite the sun. 15 under the plastic shelter !
I don't hear any complaints from our Scottish freindos...BTW I had to reread your being nipped...by a dandelion flower in the garden today in a exposed area ! made me laugh as it sounded like a carry on film.
