Bump for this talk. Frances will be talking at the Northern Symposium (BCG) so if you are unable to get up there then this is another opportunity to hear her research into UVB lighting. Frances is also a vet.
The location of the talk is just 5 mins from Junction 8 of the M5.

Please could you ask her if she intends continuing with the website. I used it a lot but it the update to the most important section was to be finished by late 2010 and it's been that way for over a year now. It would be a shame if it's not going to be done.

I keep checking back to see but if it's not now going to be done there's no point in checking back

I am sure that she is, Francis is working currently with Rom Muryn, "Romski",
on series of new data, which hopefully when published provide a good source of reference to those of us whom keep various forms of Chelonia.
Obviously, the diversity of species which hale from different parts of the world and in turn occupy various niches in their natural habitat, actually require different levels of environmental lighting in a captive situation. It is hoped, that a template will give guidance to the hobbyists whom so frequently question on fora such as this their specific requirements for a woke range of species.
Once again, for those who have not yet heard Francis present on this topic, next Sunday, will I am sure be a real treat.
