I agree with Shellonia...mine will eat stones no matter what. I break cuttlefish, I sprinkle calcium powder and bits but she still goes for the stones :/ The only thing that might have worked for me are snail shells...I've left a number of dried snail shells and she's interested in them and will bite them for a whole hour...i still worry that a broken snail shell might be sharp tho, but i read that they eat them in the wild, so...


I guess i'll have to live with a stone hungry hermann

I noticed today that Dolly was eating crushed oyster shell. She just gulped down big pieces. Don't know how she is going to pass them..they were quite big. x

mine ate at least 4 moderately big snail shells in the last 3 months, she's just 7cms SCL...so they must have passed somehow
