I've not heard of Pevodine, Yuna, but that doesn't mean to say it's not the right thing, what exactly does it say on the bottle?

Will let you know later Bindi, i am in work at the moment. Will read what it says - got it from a vet that does exotics. I think..i did try looking for bevadine, but this was another alternative. Not sure if the bottle says anything but will double check later. xx

If you got it from your vet, Yuna it's probably the same thing, just under a different branded name, but if you put up the details tonight then I'm sure someone will be able to confirm that

No Linda that isnt it.
I just had a look at the label - unfortunately its all rubbed off but got this from good advice from my friend at the tort sanctuary and also the Vet said ok. It is a type of iodine which you dilute with water, for use on any scrapes or wounds - its antibacterial and can be used on lots of animals by the looks of it - by searching on google.
I was also told about hibiscrub but chose this as it does not sting if it gets in the torts eyes, or on their skin. You can use a wee bit for their baths, and if they accidently swallow it - it is harmless.
I think it is good stuff and has a lot of uses. Its probably not good for really serious wounds, but for cuts, scrapes, and for use in bathing if needed - i think its great. A bottle has lasted me ages.

Spelt it wrong before - PEVIDINE

Betadine contains povidone-iodine. Pevidine contains povidone-iodine. Tamodine contains povidone-iodine. Hope that helps.

Hi

I have put a little first aid kit together if anyone would be interested in it, I thought that I would donate some of the money 10% to the Jill Martin Charity (Tortoise Trust).
Would anyone be interested the kit which comprises of:

1 pair single pk gloves (blue)
3 Betadine swabs
Easy tear bandage that sticks to itself (blue)
1 small pair of scissors

Regards
