Hopefully the other two pics.
In the first you can just see where the trench is. Boxies are only smallish so dont need a big entrance. For larger tortoises you can dig out a larger trench and line with bricks, slate or tiles, so that the soil does not keep falling back in and filling the entrance.

They are quite sturdy, but need to be secured down. They come with pegs to do this.

They actually do a greenhouse too, made of the same plastic for about £75 ish I think. Well they did last year. Homebase had them.

Has anyone thought of making a wooden base for these of out 4X2 or something similar, that should provide a decent base and allow you to cut an entrance in and out.

Do you mean a wooden frame to sit the coldframe on?
If so wouldnt the wood rot?
