We ordered seeds from Sarahs ebay shop. They were very successful, except that our dog got hold of them through the post!!

Yup, I love Sarahs seed shop, but my dog got the limestone flour just as the postman put it through the letterbox, cue huge mess - limestone flour all over the floor and the dog, it was all in his eyes and up his nose I was so not amused! I ordered more 2 days ago but this time ordered the bigger size am hoping that it won't fit through the letter box and that the postman will have to knock! x

Hi Dyllis,
I would email Sarah about this, I am not sure what the rules for Singapore are, but some countries eg Australia will not allow seeds of any kind into the country in any shape or form as there may be a threat to native species of plants etc... What weeds grow in Singapore? You may already have some species which are locally available and edible. Have a look at www.tortoises.net there you will find a printable booklet which gives a picture of some of the common weeds that are edible here in the UK.

Hi,
i've checked with the shipping regulations and they mentioned Perishable Goods (Foodstuff) - E.g meat, fish, vegetable and fruits, so are seeds under this category? my star tort is eating weeds, but i'm actually not sure of their names. he is quite picky, doesn't like hibiscus. i am able to get opuntia here. yes i'm browsing the forum and looking at lists of foods he can consume, but was thinking of growing some on my own. so i was wondering if the seeds can be shipped over to me, would they be able to grow? it's really hot and humid here. |
