Half price cold frames
I'm getting everything ready for Charlie's new enclosure, and found this if anyone is interested. It's half price, was
£29.99 and now £14.99! http://www.shedbaron.co.uk/steel_she...asp?ProdID=166 |

I got an aluminium one last summer, and it was great in the summer, but as soon as we had some wind it got blown round the garden, one windy night it took off and landed in another part of the garden in pieces! We are making some wooden ones and will recycle the polycarbonate panels, so it wont go to waste.

I'll perhaps have to find a way of securing it, although the enclosure will have a wood and mesh roof/lid so hopefully it won't go too far!!

Exactly what I was going to say, a great bargain, but you need a way of securing the CF down.
As polycarbonate is so light, that a strong breeze can move them. If you have a way of securing then a real bargain.

Brilliant! Just ordered one. Thanks for the link CJ.
PS just read the details ( I know, stable door, horse, bolted!) and it comes with "anchor pins included greatly simplifies the task of fixing to firm soil areas." Bonus!

I didn't read the bit about anchor pins! Excellent, hopefully won't blow away then. Unlike our slide and
compost bin which are half way down the garden at the moment, wonder if I can get anchor pins for them!!! |
