Default tortoise garden direction

Hi all,

At some point this year I am looking at moving house. And the question is, which way should my garden face? I want to ensure that I will have a lovely sunny garden for my little tort when she is ready to live outside.
Will it matter which direction the garden faces, or is it just the position of the tortoise enclosure and where the surrounding fences are (that could cause casting long shadows)?

Sorry for all the questions! While this is not the ultimate deciding factor, I want to take it into consideration when moving.

Thanks in advance!

I have a South facing garden as well so would guess that would be best if you want sun for most of the day.

A south facing garden would be ideal. I am lucky to be detached but the tort enclosures here are all facing west and get sunshine from late morning through to early evening.
Fences and suchlike will impact on where you position your enclosure. Hopefully you can view some properties on nice sunny days so you can see how shadows fall.

My front is South facing but my garden is up 4 steps so has sun for most of the day in summer but also some shade so we have the best of both there.
When I say sun, I mean perhaps a few days a year, I live in wild, wet Wales
Last year was good though. Ha ha xx

South facing is best. But my garden gets a reasonable amount of sun even though it isn't because its long and thin. The house doesn't shade the farther away part of the garden. But I would love a south facing one.
