Awaiting weeds

Hi folks just after a bit of advice regarding feeding my 2 6 month old horsfields. I know weeds are the best diet for them but being a total novice in spotting suitable weeds I've ordered a couple of pocket book's to guide me along while I am out and about. In the meantime Will it be okay to feed them a pre packed florette salad mix (Frisee,lambs lettuce &radicchio) I've also got a windowsill full of baby leaf lettuce mix. This will only be for a few week's maximum as I've got shelled warriors seeds planted and they are coming on a treat I also live next door to nature reserve so once I know what I am looking at there will plenty to pick

Hi David yes that will be fine also romain is ok which are in Aldi at the moment for 69p for two

I agree with Gordon - mine love romaine and radicchio. There's plenty of Cat's Ear and Slender Plantain about at the moment and the Sowthistle is starting to grow too, so hopefully you'll be able to find some of those weeds fairly easily. They are easy ones to identify.

Brill I have been giving them romaine and a little bit of dandelion which they both love but would like to mix it up a bit
