I have it in the front of our house and down the side of the house. Always plenty to have when weeds are short.

EDIT> I'm not sure how many types there are, some may be hybrids but when I was at Alnwick Castle Gardens once they had campanula that was about 4ft high Last edited by Alan1; 23-02-2016 at 10:40 AM. |

They're easily divided and very hardy, CB.

I needed some plants for a bare area of garden and wanted ground cover types and in Lidl today I got Campanula for £2.89 each and huge pots of Horned Violet (Viola Cornuta) for £5 each. I know Campanula is edible and think viola is too. This is actually last week's offer but they still had some left

good tip, thanks Alan, I have bought some fleabane (which should not be eaten ) so planting for colour only and was interested to see lobelia shouldn't be eaten which mine don't touch but there are some around.
I need a source for some good nasturtiums if you see them at Lidl ! why don't they do them in blue ! CB
