Hi Laura
I had this op a few years ago and it wasn't too bad but expect it to take about a week until you feel better. They wanted to have a look at my insides when I had mine and used air to inflate my tummy, this was a bit painful afterwards as the air moved to places like my shoulders. The funny thing was the air coming out of the natural lady place when I used the loo after the op with a nurse standing outside the door listening to make sure I was OK!!! I hope it goes well and you soon feel better. Sophie |

Hi Laura,
My OH had one in March this year the consultant said it was a minor proceedure so she booked a couple of days off work which ended up being 2 weeks. She is ok now but was sore for a good while and got an infection too, she is allergic to penacillin so treating that was a bit tricky with 2 different antibiotics and lots of pain killers. I hope your proceedure goes ok. Ade

Another piece of advice Laura is to wear some tracky bottoms or similar to the hosp not tight trousers as your tummy will be swollen, no one told me that!
I hope all this advice is reassuring you! Sophie |
