Default Tiggy might die, very worried

This is an update on my other thread about Tiggy , my 1yr old Marginated , she has been constipated for over a week now, and I have tried everything, I am giving her enimas every hour, and lactulose , but nothing has happened, the vet says she is too small to operate on and too small clear her out manually , so I have got to carry on with what I'm doing and if that doesn't work she will die, I'm so upset

The only thing I can think of is to make sure the temps are up. In humans exercise get things moving. So maybe try to get her to walk about if she can manage it. No Idea if it will work but anything is worth a try.

Apparently dandelion root is helpful. Try feeding her that. And take her on a car journey. I'm googling and this is what is coming up. Anything is worth a try. Prune juice is mentioned too. Try using a syringe if she wont drink it. Just drop small amounts onto her mouth or try actually dropping it onto her tongue if you can, but don't squirt it in.

don't forget the warm baths you can add critical care to them as well, I don't think there's a limit as to how many baths you can give.

Thank you both , I will do all of that, dandelion is about the only thing she will eat, so I will pull up some roots, and I have some critical care , so next bath , I will put some in. This is a do or die situation , and I'm doing everything

I knew someone with a bearded dragon, he tried everything to get the dragon to poop and he couldn't spent a fortune and the vets and nothing worked so he gave him some human laxatives within a few hours the dragon had explosive diarrhoea

If I remember rightly succulents and aloe vera act as a laxative, may be worth trying mixed in with pre alpin (which is high fibre).
You can only keep going with what you are doing Suze and hope it works. Best of luck.

oh Suze, what a situation so sorry to read this. The foods are all good suggestions but Im wondering if stop adding food would be the best idea? If she is nose to tail full your only adding to the problem? (Only another way of thinking about it & a guess) I would give her a long soak in the bath, then take her out in the car. Usually I try & keep them cool to travel to minimize stress but in this case maybe a bit of stress would have the desired effect I would do the opposite keep the car nice & warm, perhaps the radio on & see what happens.

Sorry to read about the tortoise.

I have read that pumpkin, butternut squash, Cos or Romaine lettuce will help together with regular bathing. Liquid paraffin has also been mentioned, but you would need to find out what sort of quantity to use and indeed if this is even a safe method.

I can't recommend or vouch for any of the above remedies, so will have to leave it for you to research more.
