poo photo (sorry guys)
Since I've had Otis which has been 3 weeks now. His poo seems undigested, its never hard even though I have been giving him weeds, prealpin etc. I've given him a bit of live yoghurt but still not made a difference.
He is eating and seems happy enough but his poo is concerning me Any suggestions? Thanks xx

Would it be temperature related Lynnee ? Does the poo look like undigested food matter ?

Lynne, do you find its got a funny smell to it too!!!
Small amounts and often, something with good fibre in.. To be truth with you mine were on someting called pretty pellets before they arrived I open the bag to see what these pellets looked like and they were bright pink and green. They went straight in the bin, the smell was aweful..

It doesn't smell at all...well I didn't get too close, lol
It looks like something I could feed him again, totally undigested

Maybe this is some food that he was fed before you had him. Maybe the previous owner was not providing correct heating. Have you any idea what he was fed previously?
I would say there has not been enough heat for food digestion. What are the urates like? I would suspect they might be gritty as well. If after a month there is no improvement, then it could be worms but I am of the opinion that this tortoise was not provided with enough heat. |

I'll keep any eye on him. He has plenty of heat now so hopefully it will sort itself out. Tilly tested positive for worms, so he has probably got them too. Would giving him Panacur add to the problem though? x
