Question soaking pellets in orange juice ?

i was in a pet shop the other week, some piece of advice i was given has been bothering me. I was told to soak my torts pellets in orange juice before feeding? this sounded very wrong to me. does anyone on s/w do this?

To much citric acid in orange juice, so not a good idea (citrus fruits aren't recommended for any tortoises diet). Water is the best idea for soaking in.

before you do that... give it a little thought.

Vitamin C is a very important vitamin... water soluable... this means it is not stored well.

Now... how acidic is the chow that is soaked in the OJ?

My concern is how the acidic OJ reacts with the other nutrients.

Needless to say... I thought it was a cool idea.
