Default night time heat

i had to ibera babies of Darren there fine through out the day active running about in to everything eatting well when i come down stairs every morning they have hidden them selves in the substrate temp are fine for wilma but do you think its to cold for them of a night ,do you think i should put some heating in here of a night if the temp drop to cold it drops to about 10/12

Ten or twelve is fine for nightime temps. As long as they have heat the next morning so they
can warm through.

If the temps were to drop to eight, then an ambient temp would need to be upped. Hopefully
that wont happen until Winter<g>.

heating will be on in the winter so shouldnt be a problem then ,there substrate is about 3 inches deep and keep loosing them was worrying it was to cold as they had been burrowing down will try to get heater for them i think on a thermastate thanks again

Hi Jo,

You will probably never need to have night heat at all, even through the coldest winter nights without heating in the house after 10pm my temps have never dropped below 8 degrees c inside the tortoise table.
