accurate plastron measuring, the easy way!

I went into my local Aldi store just a few days ago and found that they were selling a very accurate set of callipers with digital readout. The price was under a tenner and I'm really pleased with them. The only thing I'd change is that they are quite sharp so I have wrapped tape around them and then reset them to zero. They give a very accurate reading for taking the measurements of your torts carapace length. Ideal for young torts up to 150mm. I can't find a link as they don't appear on Aldi's website but assume all stores have them in stock. They are made by "workzone" and come in their own protective case. Regards, Gary (themayneman)

You do though want to measure the carapace and not the plastron.

They would be handy but it would depend how recently you got them as to whether they will still have them. Aldi (and Lidl) only have those offers on for 4 days once or sometimes twice a year
