i know its each to there own but.......
I know I don't have torts yet but from all I have read the best place to keep a hermamns is a tortoise table not a viv so it really fustrates me when I have a scroll through gumtree Cuz I'm nosie and they say tortie comes with viv so dont need to get anything else when theres a pic and haa no modifications to give it ventilation. Viva get really warm and humid from personal experiance of keeping gals. I do also know that its each 2 there own but I just couldnt keep a hermanns torties in a viv. If this post offends I'm sorry and it it needs deleting I'm sorry

I know 2 people that keep there's in vivs and think its the best place for them as that's what the pet shop told them to get. 1 has now said they are going to get a table coz they love mine!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but lots of people do keep tortoises in vivs. It has been a discussion point on here many times due to difference of opinion. There are quite a few people on here keep their torts in vivs. I had one when I got my first tortoise. Now I personally choose a table, but I don't get offended if people choose to use vivs, it's all personal choice. As long as they are kept correctly with the right conditions and have plenty of space, then I don't see a problem. But like I said, everyone has their own opinion

I'm not offended i just wonder if they did research before getting a tortoise I've thought long and hard before I decided to contact a breeder and waited till I had enough space. Just don't think some ppl think about an animals proper care and needs sometimes its the same with any animal if you don't research and get a pet on impulse something is bound 2 go wrong I can't be the only one who think this way
