Bathing his tortoises must be a nightmare with them all bobbing around like rubber ducks. Dont even get me started on his theory that "hibernation is not a real care option, just the alternative to death on the first freezing night of winter" Pure comedy gold.

I know I've banged on a bit on this thread but "Hermanns Tortoise, Boettger's and Dalmatian tortoises" by Holger Vetter (2006) is a brilliant book and I've just noticed at the back that he is also the author of a book on Leopard's and Suculta's and one on Red and Yellow foot Tortoises. If they are anywhere near as good as the Hermann's book, buy one.You won't be disappointed.

Turtles of the World, by Bonin,Devaux & Dupre just arrived. Thats a hefty looking loooking bit of bedtime reading. Thanks for recommendation Geomyda. Also picked up a couple of books on Box Turtles, fingers crossed eh
