Does my Horsfield weigh enough?
This is Willow the 2 year old Horsfield. We weighed him on Wednesday evening and he appeared to be 105 grams and 8cms. I just want to know if this is an appropriate weight. And what does the weight depend on? Age? Size? Breed? Thankyou very much. EquestrianBabe

Willow is a bit low for that size. Willow should be around 130g. It's size that determines weight on all tortoises.

Hello EquestrianBabe
I too have a Horsfield Teddy and she is 6cms and weighs....60g, She is 6 months old...I know this is quite big for her age,(She's greedy) She hasnt gained anymore for sometime now so am hoping her weight for the moments stays down. I dont want an overweight tort. I use the McIntyre chart as a guide. Looking at your pic of Willow he does look tiny. Here is Teddy a little while ago

OK. And sorry for my blurry picture- my mum took it, though I'm great at photography!
