DVDs
Does anyone know of any DVDs showing the various tortoise species in their natural habitat? I have Life in Cold Blood and a couple of the Vidi Herp series but would love to see documentary-style footage of tortoises going about their daily lives - foraging for food, breeding, choosing a sleeping place etc. I have several books and have read many posts on here but for me, it would help replicate a tortoise's requirements if I see how it lives in the wild.

found this via google
http://www.vidi-herp.com/en-us/dept_2.html Rare species shown in their natural environments! If you study or keep South African tortoises, this superb video is highly recommended, as it will introduce you to the actual habitats these species inhabit in nature. Includes unique footage of Leopard tortoises, Angulate tortoises, Geometric tortoises, Padlopers (Homopus species) and aquatic turtles of the region. Various habitats and eco-systems are discussed in detail, and some truly amazing behavior is shown in close-up! Spectacular habitats and spectacular tortoises in one amazing video http://chelonianconservation.org/ind...ff6da48a4ee335 Last edited by linda; 19-10-2008 at 05:15 PM. |

Is anyone aware of Turtles of the World 1.3 (DVD ROM)? I've just found it at http://www.nhbs.com/turtles_of_the_w...fno_60948.html
Looks like a serious piece of work with a serious price to match! |
