Hi, I am new too!
Hi all, I have been looking into getting a hermann tortoise for over a couple of years, would anyone know of any breeders in the South West of Cornwall? I have searched everywhere and haven't had any luck, many thanks

Hello and welcome. We have some great breeders on here. I don't know any in Cornwall personally but Gordon might be a good breeder to chat to to get you started. I'm sure he'll pop on and contact you or as CB says, you can send private messages once you've exceeded five posts.

Many thanks for your replies and your suggestions! Unfortunately i don't have the transport to travel too far - I would have to get a train! I have read on here that some people use specialist pet couriers - but i don't know what to think about this - regarding the safety etc of the tortoise? Any thoughts?

I personally think this can be justified if the courier knows what they are doing and the person buying the tortoise is able to get one from a breeder instead of a pet shop.
Welcome to the forum too! You have great weather for tortoise keeping. I hope it works out for you.

There is a very good courier service which vets sometimes use, or college of vetinary but cant remember their name. its obvious like national pet courier. Im sure it will work out, before rehoming to new TK people often travel to the new home to make sure you are set up right, CB
